Order of Execution of Suggestions

While an agent is working on a case, they may enter a data value that causes multiple suggestions to be executed at the same time. Each of these suggestions is executed in a particular sequence by the system based on two factors: the suggestion type and the priority assigned to each suggestion.

The first factor that is considered is the suggestion type. All suggestions of a specific type are run before suggestions of subordinate types, regardless of their relative priorities. Suggestions are run in the following order:

  • Letters
  • Enclosures
  • Response
  • Alerts
  • Survey Runs
  • Migration
  • Mandatory

Within each type, the suggestion priority is the next factor that is considered when determining the order of execution. Suggestions with a lower number priority will execute first.

For information on determining the priorities between these two, refer to Limit and Dependent Codes.
