Open Case and Open Address Buttons on Reports
From the results pane of a report, you can access an Open Case button and an Open Address, button which will open the specified record for editing. Select the line item for the case or address you want to open and click the appropriate button. You must have the Case_ID and Address_ID columns defined on the report to use these buttons. If you do not have those columns defined, an error message displays letting you know that the column is required.
When running the SQL Select report, these columns must appear before other case/address columns on the report. Otherwise, the system will open the case/address based on the first case/address column that displays on the report. For example, Address1 displays first with a value of 2400 Corporate Dr and the Address_ID of 3 follows. If you click the Open Address button, the address record for the Address_ID of 2400 opens in the Address window when it should have opened Address_ID 3.
